A family's story

Mostly Wordless Wednesday

First there was this…Doc, meet Lambie.

Then they hugged-cuz that’s what friends do to greet each other.

Then they watched TV with Tate.

And then Tate took some pictures of his friend.

My favorite “pictures”, though, are the ones in my mind…the ones where Doc walks on the treadmill, where Doc and Tate play “Hungry, Hungry, Hippos”, where Tate reads Doc his favorite book…and when she reads it to him.

Pretend play. Connection. Hope.

  1. It’s such a rare thing to see and that makes it so much more precious! Again, I cannot believe how much Tate and Toots are alike! We are just starting to see a growth of pretend play at our house too!! Yay! (and he’s adorable!)

    • I love the emergence of pretend play. It is a sight to be seen..and one I treasure, as I am sure, do you. Our boys are so similar!
