Last night I was talking to the boys about Easter weekend. I may have mentioned that they do not have school on Friday.
Jake: Oh, yeah, baby! (Think: Kool-aid man, circa 1985.)
Tate: No, no school. School is closed. (Think: script, circa 2011-12.)
Cole: Nooooooooooooo! (Think: any cheesy action flick, circa 2011.)
I asked what they might want to do on their day off from school.
Jake: I want to watch Pokemon Black and White.
Tate: No Ms. T. No Ms. V. No Ms. S. Just us.
Cole: No! I play trucks! No Jake! No Tate!
I told the boys that we’ll dye Easter eggs and chill out in the morning. I did break the “bad” news to Tate that he still has PT & Speech therapy in the afternoon.
Jake: Ok. I want Pokemon. And can I eat the deviled eggs* when we’re done?!
Tate: Oh, all right. *sigh* No eggs. Jake can have the eggs. Shoo! Shoo!
Cole: Go to Target?! Play trucks?!
They will have the same activities this weekend. They will be together, and yet, all 3 will have very different perspectives and, thus, experiences. Interesting, no?
